110 PETR OGOTOEV
Not finding anybody
He realized it was empty.
Standing there he thought:
A night robber should have a place,
Concealed from others
To store his wealth,
Should have a cellar
To hide his property.
Jumping up to his feet
During three days and nights
Examined in and out,
But failed to find
Somebody or something,
Being in two minds, not knowing
Where to look for.
Suddenly he heard
Crying and wailing
Like a gnat swarm coming out
Of a grasping stove
He listened to it standing still. a

hYy-y-y-yyibyn,
Aa-a-a-aaibyn!
Who will help me,
Who will come to ?
I’m a poor thing,
I have nobody
To protect me,
To support me.
I’m destined not to be happy,
Is there anybody
Among divine tribe brave enough
To protect me?
I’m destined to be eaten by abaasy,
Among kind-hearted great relatives
There is nobody gallant enough
To save me.
Oh, my grief!
