ELES BOOTUR 117
On one leg, on two legs
And like a hare.
Strong heroes met in wrestling,
Thickset heroes contested in tug-of-war
Everybody was strong,
Everybody was a hero,
White-haired aged men
Told young ones
Wise fairy-tales,
Windows of the earth
Serkeen Sehens
Entertained their
Seventy-seven grandchildren
With their stories.
Poets made up verses
About this wonderful occasion.
Olonkho-singers made up
A long exaggerated story
About this great occasion.
Being exhausted and tired
Pleased and happy
After seven days and nights
Of entertaining
They fell down and asleep.
They have been sleeping
For three days and nights
And then having rested
And become quiet
They jumped up.
Awakening themselves
With fresh kymys,
Cheering up themselves
With strong kymys,
Eating up everything,
Thanking and blessing
They went to their lands.
Eles Bootur the Great
And his beautiful like the sun wife
Tired of passionate love,
Remembering the past days
