                                              Ninety-nine of one piece larches
                                              Three layers of its roof
                                              Are covered with kaolin clay
                                              To protect from draught,
                                              From a stream of cold air,
                                              From sorrow and disaster
                                              Falling down from the Heaven.
                                              Foundation is made of
                                              The six biggest woods
                                              To hold a through wind
                                              Blowing from ill-fated
                                              The Low World.
                                              To protect from
                                              Misfortune and disaster
                                              In the Middle World,
                                              From violent spring air
                                              Blowing off the cradle,
                                              Sending a disease,
                                              From whirlwind and storm
                                              Beating the dwelling
                                              Like a fishing basket,
                                              Sending a neglected disease,
                                              From bewitching air
                                              Blowing through,
                                              Hastening the old age,
                                              Six strong walls are built.
                                              The left-side wall
                                              Is chopped with an axe
                                              To let the morning sun rays in,
                                              To drive darkness away,
                                              Is covered with splinters.
                                              To stop brightness
                                              Of the setting sun
                                              Wide windows are made.
                                              The right-side wall
