And a crib around the house
                                  To guard earnestly.
It has a vast green valley
                                  To jump like a hare,
It has a bright clean field
                                  To hop and leap.
                                  It has a splendid lake
Spacious enough to swim and dive.
                                  Entering light antechamber
Enormous enough to make you run
                                  Dripping with sweat,
                                  You see their warm hearth.
                                  From the first seven-half
                                  Up to the last seven-half
                                  Of October month
                                  Seventy-seven mature men
                                  Till becoming weak
                                  Tried to half-open
                                  The firm dwelling door.
                                  From the first eight-half
                                  Up to the last eight-half
                                  Of December month
                                  Eighty-eight brave men
Pulled by force to set ajar
                                  The door with a bell,
                                  Slightly open I.
                                  Stepping over
                                  The stout threshold
                                  Reminding me of
                                  Five-six years old
                                  Blood-eyed ox,
                                  Puffing quietly,
                                  Lying on its knees
                                  Glance round I.
                                  Four huge columns
                                  Made of the best larches
Solidly are set in four comers.
                                  A cross-beam is made of
                                  Three good larches
                                  To serve for centuries.
