Grouped birchbark buckets
To drink fresh kymys —
A divine beverage,
To clean their throats,
To better their moods
Ate their fillets and
Satisfied their wish.
Played cards and draughts,
And different games.
They were impudent
Getting into temper,
They were spoilt
Being in abundance.
Once on a fine morning
The sun waking up,
Greeted another day
Sending its warm rays
From its endless space,
Their Great Brother
Woke up suddenly,
Opening his door with bells,
Jumped out onto the yard
Giving his gaze to
Spacious yard where
A bullfinch slipped, hail didn’t stop.
His daring heart
His discourteous mind
Made him climb up
To the top of sun-lit hill
With arms akimbo, crossing his legs
Directing his war-like air
To the three-obstacled white sky,
He opened his mouth
To tell his thoughts,
To speak in his offence.
He rent the morning air
With his thunderous voice,
His heavy jaws opening slowly,
Started to sing the following words:
