Ten long-tailed lightnings
Slashed sharply,
Formidable thunder
Yawned destructively,
A blue flame blazed up,
A fire as big as a house
Was running to and fro.
Furious Kyladyia Khaan
Was seen from far
Shining and boasting.
Not knowing where he got to,
What a wonderful land he reached,
He moved his gaze around:
The disgraceful and menacing South
Opens a gorge with holy posts
Reminding you of
A black and white mane of a horse.
The windy and terrible East
Opens a wide passage
With rocks on both sides,
It’s the place for abaasy tribe
To walk slowly and proudly,
White blood runs,
Black blood flows,
It steps down like a windpipe
Of a male horse put upwards.
The stormy and whirlwindy North
Opens well-trampled down passage
Reminding you of a windpipe
Of a young ox cut down.
The warm-aired, wealthy West
Opens decorated, fairy-tale passage
Reminding you of a moved-aside mane of
Seven-year-old grayish horse.
Gazing at this troublesome
Dangerous World he saw:
It’s supported by ninety-nine
Firm back-bone spines,
Its thirty bolts are
Ribs of thirty great heroes,
