ELES BOOTUR 5 9

                                               He is avoiding you,
                                               Don’t you see it ?
I’m waiting for you, be quick!h
The great devil kept on wailing.
His words sounded like a thunder,
                                               Flashed like a lightning.
In the twinkling of an eye
                                               A black crow croaking:
                                               “Blood-blood” — on a black cloud
                                               Came hurrying and changed into
                                               Khaan-Sarakhaidaan the Great Witch,
                                               Wearing her sinful fringed dress,
                                               Holding her anxious fated
                                               Bloody tambourine on knees,
Shading her eyes with a copper shovel,
                                               Sitting a bit grandly, threatening,
                                                Struck three times her tambourine
                                                Started to sing roughly
At the top of her voice disorderly.

                                                Khaan-Sarakhaidaan the Witch

                                                “ Ihiligim-Tahylygym,
                                                Oh, misfortune! Oh, trouble!
                                                Eos Tardar, my good brother
                                                Both of us are destined
                                                Not to grow roots,
Not to give birth to children,
                                                Not to continue a posterity,
                                                Not to have a fortune
                                                We are foretold, indeed.
A man of our World has never been
                                                A relative to the people
With sunbeam reins on their backs.
                                                You’ve chosen the best girl
                                                Of the Middle World
To be your wife, to take to bed,
But you’ll get into a scrape,
                                                You’ll destroy your life.”
                                                Having finished her song,
