                                               He rushed to his house.
                                               Gazing around, he saw nobody,
His youngest sister’s bed was empty.
Kneeling in front of his fire place,
Blessing the spirit of his hearth,
                                               He began to sing loudly:

                                                      Eles Bootur

                                               “Djie-Buo! Djie-Buo!
                                               My own hearth,
                                               Having soft ash pillow
                                               And warm ash blankets
                                               A dry grass splinter
                                               As huge as a haycock,
                                               A steel for kindling fire
As huge as a horse head,
                                               Blessing the whole World
                                               With your heat,

                                               Aan-Ukhan, greatfather,
                                               Feeling my absence
                                               Don’t go out,

                                               My four great posts
                                               Ninety-nine strong surroundings,
                                               Don’t let rot
                                               My reliable walls!
