Every nation has its own symbolic sacred things. I always imagine three times
three sacred things of the yakuts in its harmonious unity: 1. Serge, choroon,
khomus; 2. Olonkho, ysyakh, osuokhai; 3. Horse, deer, crane... All these sacred
things give you a chance to understand a rich spiritual life of the people. It s a way

to its language, history and traditions.
A number of volumes can be written about every sacred thing. But olonkho
enlivens everything being a heart and core of this harmony. That s why I keep on
repeatinig: olonkho is the greatest creation of yakut people, a brilliant phenom-
