84 PETR OGOTOEV
Climbing his tall horse,
Gathering its long tail,
Chasing his enemy
He rushed forward violently,
That an ekseku10 would not save
That a lion would not catch.
Rotten trees stamped on
Turning into old women
Remained crying and wailing.
Young branches cut down
Turning into sharp boys
Remained talking bravely.
Strong larches pushed down
Turning into important mess
Remained speaking continuously.
Birches cut in two
Turning into beautiful women
Remained chattering merrily.
Willows trampled down
Turning into nervous old women
Remained crying hysterically.
Standing stamps unrooted
Turning into bears
Remained wheezing.
Becoming stronger with every jump
Exciting more and more
He passed great mountains,
Riding violently
He galloped miles and miles
Without noticing it.
But suddenly he saw:
Three brothers, swift-footed,
Strong and solid brothers
Interrupting their violent walk,
Slowing down their ardent steps,
Stopping in front of Eles Bootur
The eldest brother being in fury
Holding his breast
Gazing at him with his fiery eyes
Started to sing as if he were
Reproaching Eles Bootur:
