On their skis,
Gun on their shoulder,
Lance in the hand,
Chasing a goat.
Slender pines like
Sensitive people
Listening keenly
Lightly heave here.
Rose-willows grouped
Along the brooks and rivers
Like seventy-years
Decrepit old women
Saying: ҺА lot of years
Behind us,
A few years in front of us,
We want to enjoy
The rest of years, —
They hurry slowly.
Low and thick
Little pines
Like young girls
Laughing after every word
Not coming of age yet
Swing from side to side.
Its wealth and abundance
Like an endless ocean
Roll and rumble,
Like a stormy sea
Roars and groans.
Its fresh air
Is sweeter than honey,
It enlivens a dying man,
Its great taiga
