Out of breath they fainted away,
Their fury cooled down slowly,
Their strength ran low gradually,
Quite exhausted they stood
Puffing like an ox
Utterly surprised.
Seeing nothing will come of it
To take their breath
Punching their chests
They pushed down each other.
The great devil staggering,
Reaching the north edge of a forest,
Sat down on a dark soil
Drowning till his arm-pits.
Our hero getting to the south edge
Of this huge forest,
Sat down drowning till his waist.
Out of breath, with closed eyes
Like a lazy ox suffocated with the heat
Were breathing heavily.
White foam swelled out
Like two big haycocks
Covered with snow.
Hardly coming to themselves
Felt through each other
With bloodstained sunken eyes.
Eles Bootur the Great
Having recovered his breath
His face brightened up,
His eyes flashed like a star.
Esekh Khabar the Great
Having seen it, uttered “Woe is me!” —
Like an emaciated animal
Dying from a torturing disease.
Eos Tardar
“Aar-Djaaly! Aart-Tatai!
What strong men are these Sakha!
