P. 17
In ancient vanished years
In the remotest ages
Full of fighting and
Bloody feuds and clashes
Having twinkling stars there
Cheerful and inciting,
Having the pale-faced moon
To direct a strayed person,
Having the luminous sun
To save a dying person,
It’s sparkling
With diverse colours,
It became a secret fortress
Of the infinite sky
Perpertual and spacious,
It’s not flying
In the warm air
Irregularly
In this Middle World
Bewitching and whirling
With sunbeam reins behind them1
Kind-hearted relatives
Didn’t learn sin and disgrace yet,
A dark-faced man
With a mobile neck,
With agile joints,
With Earth Soul
Didn’t learn misfortune yet,
A two-legged being
Having a distressing life
And an insidious mind,
And an evil tongue,
And a lustful body,
But foresight-gifted
Didn’t learn quarrels yet,
Under the enormous sky
With eight brims
Displeased uneven
Covered with green plants
Mother-Earth spread,
